Resting Heart: 30 seconds x two - to find exact training "zones" for you. We need this to start interval training.
Start taking your pre-natals - write that down in blog as well.
Write down water intake in blog too!
Also - sign up for Jingle Bell Walk... (sorrry - had to do the plug)

Thursday: 7:15ish at
Firday: Supermom
Notes:
Substitute idea: pure butter w/peanut butter on bread.
Laura: Diet doesn't seem to affect depression at all. Comfort: curling up in bed w/dog. Nothing makes me happy. Body image doesn't seem to affect depression much - just maybe for a few hours.. not weeks and weeks.
Caffeine interacts with medication - so can not have in any capacity.
40 pound gain in 4 months last year - italy, foot broken, etc.
Celery and peanut butter. Still starving. Also, still no period…dammit. Hate this, gets my hopes up….
Rice/chx/broccoli w/ff sour cream and some sharp cheddar cheese—very good, packed leftovers for lunches
oh, also, 2 pieces see’s candy….erg….must throw out… K
4 see’s candies….arg…..
finally switched to decaf green tea
very irritable and craving chocolate like a madwoman—period starting perhaps???!?!
w/Victoria—couldn’t get my heart rate up, stubbornly stayed at 125. Yesterday’s supermoms workout kicked my ass—I think that’s why
Great harvest bread w/margarine and new jam—not filling, will be adding peanut butter in the future. Also—now hate margarine, switching to butter.
Oh, and coffee w/cream.
Not good, not good at all. Not bad really, but not good.
Friday Dinner: went out, 1 glass of wine, appetizer, spare ribs w/mashed potatoes, saved half for lunch though
Sat: raspberry croissant for breakfast, went shopping and bought tons of nummy stuff, wore myself out putting gout yard signs—counted that as my “fun activity” for the weekend, ate mostly the bread I bought from great harvest, oh and some sushi
Sun: The day went to hell—had all these great plans, but laid around and watched Sex and the City all freaking day. Dammit. Did go out and shoot hoops for about 15 mins b/4 it started raining again. Had cereal for breakfast, leftovers from Friday’s dinner for lunch, bread for snack, and had dinner (pasta w/meat sauce) at the station. Oh well, like I said, not perfect, but not horrible.
So, must figure out how the weekend will work, to keep myself on track! Especially b/c Greg is working Sunday—which is always bad when he’s working, I tend to go for either a) comfort food or b) convenience food, none of which are good for me! I also need to decide if I’m going to WW or not—still on the fence, like I’m waiting for something—maybe to see how I react to what I’m currently doing? I don’t know….
SAT:
So, sat am we’ll probably help out Ed’s campaign. Perfect time for coffee and croissant—eek! Okay, keep the coffee, can I get by on toast, pb and J?
Mid-morning snack—eh, the usual, egg or yogurt
I’d like to go to home depot or something to figure out this trash-bag idea I have for my car, so we’ll probably be on the road during lunch….hmm. Wish I could get the salads they have here elsewhere! Should have bought one to take with me. Depending on how hungry I am, eat AT HOME either b/4 or after Home Depot
Also: go shopping for food!!!!
Also: go shopping for balls
Fun activity: go across to the park and play Frisbee, or soccer or basketball
Dinner: Maybe that chicken and rice dish I’m thinking about, and make enough for lunches, or stir-fried steak and zucchini.
Evening: Watch shows? Work? Oh, have been invited to a party—if we go, limit food and alcohol!!! Starts at 7p.
SUN:
This will be a hard day—Greg works. I always end up eating convenience food.
But what do I want to DO Sunday? Sit around all day? Watch shows all day? Nah—I usually end up with a headache. Is it supposed to be nice? Eh, supposed to be mixed. Work? Bleh…need a brain break. Well, I can start my xmas list. Already went shopping last week—out of money! Hmm, maybe paint. Try my hand at copying some Beatrix Potter or something—good idea! J Or, maybe I should start with something easier J Maybe seuss J yeah, that will be my entertainment—painting!
Yay! Weekend Plans!
Didn’t pack one, again
Salad from upstairs—lettuce, mozz, salami, roasted red peppers, olives, croutons, vinaigrette dressing

Dr. said the Clomid would delay my period—essentially, it won’t change the amt of time btwn my ovulation and period, but will delay the ovulation itself….so, instead of starting tomorrow, I would probably start Sunday—15 days btwn ovulation and period, and ovulation started on day 17 instead of normal day 12. make sense?
So, he thinks I’m over medicated—he also thinks there’s something going on with my hormones, but very elusive. Also thinks I may be oversleeping. So, going off Prozac for a few weeks and supposed to chart my feelings everyday, this will let him figure out where I breakthrough and therefore what the correct dosage is for me. Ugh. A little worried, but he knows that. If I don’t get pregnant, we may just switch me back to effexor, since I did so well on that. Also supposed to regulate to no more than 8 hours of sleep. So, off to create my excel spreadsheet to track my moods. Yippe! J
Draft plan anyway

AM Snack: hard boiled egg or light yogurt

Rice, black beans, and salsa (w ff sour cream)
Chicken tacos w/ff sour cream

Bad day, bad day, ugh, just having a really really bad day. As evidenced by the maniacal refreshing of amalah’s site, just hoping for something interesting. Have descended into googling terms such as “I hate my job” “I want to quit” and “Why does my life suck.” Have done no work today—am seeing MD tomorrow am. Thank god.
GAH!!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn’t stand it anymore—had to get a rice crispy treat…arg!!!!
Also: caf free diet coke
Hi, my name is Laura and I’m a sugaraholic.

Still not really fulfilling croissant craving—though craving isn’t as bad….
Motivated self to get out of bed w/promise of posting pic of Greg from Teatro Zinzanni down at the station. Hmmm, think I’ll post it hear as well! J
Walked around Greenlake
Stopped to play Frisbee appx 20 mins (took a while to get my heart rate down after that)

Appetizer—mozz, salami, olive tapenade, pita crisps

Dammit—won’t be able to make supermoms today. Damn damn damn. Need plan B—maybe walk this afternoon or on the treadmill at home??
Look into Weight Watchers.
Friday – Supermoms 12n
Saturday – consider/plan weekly nutrition
Sunday - go for walk
Monday – supermoms 12n
Tuesday – 7:15am, measurements
Wed. - off
Thursday – 7:15am, nutrition
In general, Sa or Sun (not both) - "fun activity" - walk, soccer, basketball, mountain bike, swimming
Last night: 45 mins walking, 2.5mph
This am (7:15!): 25 mins elliptical, avg 135 bpm, stretching, 4x15 crunches
Feeling slightly naseous right now….(really, actually)
1 choc croissant
Venti Decaf Americano, single shot, w/cream
However, it was enlightening to make the attempt—I realized that I was using the chocolate croissant to motivate myself to get out of bed in the morning. “If you get out of bed, you’ll get a treeeeeaaat!!!” Like I’m my dog….
So, I also like them b/c they are a) warm and b) have sugar. So I need something that motivates and is warm and has sugar. I was thinking I could replace the treat part with coffee—at least a step in the right direction, away from a croissant. And maybe the warm/sugar with oatmeal with some chocolate chips in it—again, has to be much better for me than a croissant, you’re at least losing the fat and adding fiber. Right?
